VTR Key

How do I program and use the Voice Transfer Key?

This feature allows you to transfer an incoming call directly to a users mailbox without ringing the phone first.  Feature only works when you are connected to a party on an outside line.  Can only be used to transfer to a mailbox associated with a telephone.  To transfer to a ghost box, TRANSFER to the voice mail, press POUND 6, dial the mailbox number and hang up.

KX-TD Digital Systems

 

KX-TA Analog Systems

With the handset down and the speakerphone off.

Press the PROGRAM key (PAUSE if you do not have a PROGRAM key)

Dial 99

Press the key you want to program.

If the keys light turns red, dial 8 (if you select a key without a light, skip this step)

Dial the voice mail extension number (usually 165)

Press the STORE key. (The key with AUTO DIAL above it and STORE below it)

With the handset down and the speakerphone off.

Set the MEMORY switch on the end of your phone to PROGRAM or press the PROGRAM key on your phone

Press the key you want to program.

Dial 94, Enter the voice mail extension number that you use to call the voice mail  (usually 165)

Press the STORE key. (The key with AUTO DIAL above it and STORE below it)

Move the MEMORY switch on the end of your phone back to SET or press the PROGRAM key.

(Not available on earlier software versions)

To use VTR key

While on a call, press the VTR key and dial the mailbox number.  Hang up.

   

  Feature not available on standard single-line or cordless phones.
